Chambres avec Nu.

Travaillant depuis longtemps sur l'intime, Nathaniel Baruch se dirige naturellement vers la nudité.Seulement, sa pudeur lui pose problème: impossible de photographier des corps nus en pleine lumière. Il va donc proposer au modèle de poser dans le noir.
Le photographe va s'atteler, au moyen de "pinceaux de lumière", à faire jaillir de l'obscurité ces corps nus.
Ce procédé particulier lui permet d'explorer un univers surréaliste. La morbidité et la poésie se mêlent pour dévoiler une atmosphère fantomatique.
Les images sont construites en direct, sans l'intervention a posteriori d'un logiciel de retouche d'images, laissant sa place à l'imprévu: cette série est avant tout instinctive.



Having long played with the notion of intimacy in his previous works, Nathaniel Baruch has been naturally drawn to exploring nudity.His modesty prevents him from photographing naked bodies in full light. He thus  suggests the model to pose in absolute darkness...By means of "brushes of light ", the photographer makes the bodies spring out from the void.
This particular process allows him to investigate a surrealist universe.Poetry and morbidity are at work here to reveal a ghostly atmosphere.
The images are built at the very time of the pose without any postproduction.

In this series the unforeseen takes its right place... and it  is above all instinctive.
